Menus and pinjoints...

We're excited to show some of our progress.

First of all, we've added a main menu screen! sometimes basic things like that help a lot to make our game feel less "hacky", so we're happy to have that working now. In terms of main gameplay features, we have implemented a pinjoint system that in theory should be detecting the position of existing planks and creating connections to new planks when building, so when you unfreeze the scene it responds to the physics of the game (oh, and we also added the ability to unfreeze the scene! haha almost forgot that, press P to change the state of existing planks!)

Anyways, should is a strong word here, because in reality most systems are still in early stages and you'll quickly notice that the pinjoints are not being created in the correct position, and our research for now tells us that it's not a straightforward process. Once that is out of the way though we'll have our main workframe ready to implement more exciting things.

In paralel we're also working on some gameplay logic, like creating different scenes (building scenes, fighting scenes, etc) and polishing some other features.

Moving onto some less exciting things we did a bit of cleaning on our side, rearranging folders and files after our project began taking shape. This is to allow us to have a tidier frame to work on.

As a gift for reading this far you can test the current build uploaded today! stability not guaranteed though!
